About
I’m Lygia Cabral, a visual artist trained in architecture, graphic design, and visual arts.
Growing up in São Paulo, Brazil, I learned to notice small traces of nature within the city — texture, contrast, silence, presence. That way of seeing continues to shape my practice today.
My work moves between botanical elements, mixed media, embroidery on paper, and abstract painting. Each piece begins with observation — a leaf, a color, an emotion — and develops through a slow, intentional process.
I explore the space between nature and memory, between what is organic and what is constructed. Through material and gesture, I aim to create quiet intensity and simplicity.
